New book from Denver Police Department K-9 cop offers a portion of the proceeds as donation to Colorado C.O.P.S. for every book purchased through this article.

The Oscar Dog: Tales of a four-legged cop
by Brett Titus

Brett actually graduated from the DPD academy with Donnie Young. Kelly Young has said: “I read the book and it is very good. It's a light hearted look at having a canine as a partner. Suitable for all ages. My daughter Kourtney has read it and I've recommended it to my co-workers”.

They are working on having the book available on Amazon.com, but for now it is available only on their website at:www.TacDogs.com

To support Colorado C.O.P.S. just enter “COPS” next to your FIRST name in the blank on the order form so that they know that the referral came from our Colorado C.O.P.S. website.

Attending Bitner Funeral
Law Enforcement attendees are requested to be at the church no later than noon.

Metrol area agencies are instructed to use BLUE SE for funeral radio traffic coordination.

Any agency outside the Denver Metro area with radio users traveling to/from the funeral is required to go to a travel channel or MAC 4. Dragging local talk groups into the area will have an adverse effect on the system, impacting both the Denver Metro area TGs and the radio user's home area talk group traffic. Radios which fail to adhere to this operational requirement risk being inhibited for the duration of the event. For questions, please contact DTR Monitoring at 303.764.7975.

When attending the funeral you may enter the church from three different directions, as listed:

  • From the north, along East Hampden in the 3800 hundred block
  • From the east, along Colorado Boulevard
  • From the west along Monroe Street

Police personnel will be stationed in the various parking lots to help direct parking.

Our Kelly Young On The Net
Our very own Vice President recently met with CopsAlive.com to provide a widow's perspective of facing the ultimate sacrifice. She did a wonderful job, openly talking about such an emotional and difficult subject. Donnie would be so proud.
